Regional Transfer Scholarships

San Francisco State University announces the establishment of one $500 scholarship per year, available exclusively to a Phi Theta Kappa member. Founded in 1899, SFSU is one of 23 universities in the California State University System. Its location in the beautiful Bay area gives students access to all the cultural and educational advantages found in San Francisco. SFSU awards bachelor's degrees in 116 areas of specialization and master's in 95; and a Ph.D. and Ed.D. in education with a concentration in special education, jointly with UC Berkeley. In addition, SFSU offers a joint Master of Science in Physical Therapy with UC San Francisco, as well as 27 credential programs and 34 certificate programs. American Intercontinental University, Los Angeles

- An unlimited number of scholarships worth $1,000 for the first year and $2,000 for the second. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. The deadline is two weeks before enrollment. California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks

- Up to five renewable $5,000 per year scholarships. A minimum 3.5 GPA and 24 credit hours are required. Non-U.S. citizens, part-time students, and student's with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. The student must enroll immediately following two-year college. Deadline is March 1. - An unlimited number of $3,000 per year scholarships for eligible candidates seeking first time admission to FIDM. A minimum of 3.2 GPA and an AA, AS, AAS are required. Part-time students are not eligible. Students may qualify without their degree if credit hours and breadth of education requirement for professional designation are met. No deadline to apply. A minimum 3.5 GPA is required (plus an AA degree or 60 credit hours are required for Fresno and San Jose scholarships). An essay outlining educational goals, a letter of recommendation, and proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership is required. For the Sacramento and Stockton scholarships, recipients must attend the Sacramento or Stockton Regional Centers, respectively. Deadline is open for Fresno or San Jose and is the sixth of each month for Sacramento or Stockton.
